In 1973 he graduated from Kyrovohrad State Pedagogical Institute with a degree in Mathematics with honors, in 1985 he defended his Ph.D dissertation, in 1988 he was awarded the title of associate professor of the Department of Higher Mathematics.
Researches direction: application of mathematical methods in the process of modeling and forecasting the activities at mining enterprises (up-to-date deep open-pits).
Disciplines taught: "Higher mathematics", "Probability theory and mathematical statistics".
I.I. Maksymov is the author of more than 100 scientific works, 1 monograph.
