GreeDI-EU – Transition towards Green Digital European Industry Implemented within the framework of the EU Erasmus+ grant programme

Project duration: 1.03.2023 – 28.02.2026.
Coordinator: Kryvyi Rih National University
The main idea of the project “Transition towards Green Digital European Industry – GreeDI-EU” is to promote European values and create a green digital industry suitable for the 21st century. This will be achieved by shaping the worldview, values, and competencies of graduates in technical fields, encouraging them to actively seek and implement environmentally friendly, high-tech products and services in Ukrainian enterprises.
The potential for technological partnerships between European countries to restore nature is vast. However, young professionals face the challenge of extending this mission beyond the interests of individual enterprises to encompass all workplaces, ultimately striving to protect the planet. This further development demands not only the implementation of safe technologies but also fundamental changes in our thinking regarding the role that nature and biodiversity play in our lives and businesses. Unsustainable practices in mining and energy are causing unprecedented biodiversity loss, habitat degradation, pollution, and climate change. Alongside the technological revolution, we must also pursue a significant shift in our values and approaches to interacting with the planet. To engage young professionals and society as a whole in shaping a new industrial policy grounded in European values and social market traditions, we propose the discipline "Transition to Green Digital European Industry." This will be aligned with the main priorities outlined in the "А New Industrial Strategy for а Green and Digital Europe" and the "The Declaration in Support of the Green and Digital Transformation of the EU."
The project’s goals include enhancing cooperation and communication among all academic participants, employers, civil society organizations, and authorities. Additionally, it aims to improve the qualifications of teaching staff, equipping them with skills related to digitalization and industrial transformation in the context of European integration.
